You’ll come by my door, like you did before …
Remember when music was all we talked about?
Neither do I.

Serbia has won the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, with Marija Serifovic beating 23 rivals to clinch victory in a three-hour televised mishmash of power ballads, ethnic rhythms and bubble-gum pop.
I watched Eurovision for the first time this weekend. It was enjoyable, even though I had no idea what was actually going on. I kept asking Eilis, “is this for real?” and she kept saying “yes” and I kept saying, “no, seriously. this is some kind of satire isn’t it?”.
Other music stuff. I don’t know anything about this woman except she is a scientist by day and musical ninja by night. Her songs are beautiful though. Libbie Linton. More songs on her myspace page.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Eurovision. It gets better and better each time you watch. I have been a huge fan since Buck’s Fizz won in 1981 with Making your Mind Up. Aaah. That certainly made my mind up, I can tell you. Plus I won the collective family kitty (40p) for picking the winning song. They felt it was important to encourage gambling at an early age.
Thought I’d check your blog seeing as though Eilis has been understandably quiet lately, and may get even quieter soon! Hope you don’t mind…
Buck’s Fizz won Eurovision?! That was surely worth more than 40p.
There’s no news to report yet but I’ll try and write something to let people know, when it all starts. I’m betting the baby will be late … she’s officially due this Thursday but I have in my head next weekend. Eilis has in her head GET … BABY … OUT … NOW …
